Mike Herbrik has been appointed as general manager of Warner Music Norway.
Herbrik, who will take up the role immediately, has been part of the Warner Music Norway team since 2014, serving most recently as A&R director. He works closely with the label’s artists including Julie Bergan, Kristian Kristensen, Emilie Nicolas, Madden, and Fay Wildhagen.
“I’m so delighted to be heading up the incredible team at Warner Music Norway," said Herbrik (pictured). "I want to make sure that we’re known as the first choice for Norwegian artists because they know we’ll always give 110% to build their careers at home and around the world.”
He will report to Warner Music Nordics president Jonas Siljemark, who said: “Mike is an incredible talent who has won the trust and confidence of our local artists in Norway over the last few years as he’s headed up our A&R operations in Oslo. He’s a forward thinking executive who is well placed to grow our business in the years ahead.”
Herbrik began his music industry career in 2009 when he worked in brand partnerships and marketing for Roadrunner Records, a leading hard rock label owned by Warner Music Group, where he worked with artists including Slash and Slipknot.
In 2014, after a stint with Coca-Cola, Herbrik joined Warner Music Norway as A&R manager, becoming A&R director the following year.
