WHO: Santi is a 26-year-old Nigerian who’s been mixing genres since 2016.
WHAT: You might loosely describe Santi’s music as dancehall, but he’s something of a musical omnivore. He started out with rap and counts Afrobeats, pop-punk and rock among his influences, while the piano-led Sigo Extrañandote explores Spanish sounds.
WHERE: Santi was born in Lagos and is a key player in Nigeria’s bubbling Alté movement, but he’s lived in UAE since moving there as a student.
