Voting for the MTV Brand New 2017 is now open, with fans able to register their vote for their favourite new artist via MTV’s official Instagram account.
The shortlisted artists are AJ Tracey, Bishop Briggs, Disciples, JP Cooper, Nadia Rose, Raye, Ray Blk, Stefflon Don, The Amazons and Tom Grennan. Fans can vote simply by liking their selected artist’s image on MTV’s Instagram page.
The winner will be announced on February 2, when London’s Electric Ballroom will host a night of performance from some of this year’s finalists, as well as 2016 winner Anne Marie. 2017 acts so far confirmed are Tom Grennan, Stefflon Don, and The Amazons.
The shortlist was selected by MTV officials, key music influencers and industry representatives.
Grennan said: “To be announced on the shortlist was amazing, to now be performing at the MTV Brand New Showcase is incredible! I can’t wait!”
Stefflon Don added: 'I’m crazy excited to be performing at the MTV Brand new 2017 showcase. MTV has always been about showcasing new talent and to be selected by the team to perform on the night is an honour.”
“It is a huge deal for us to be picked to perform at the showcase for MTV Brand New 2017,” commented The Amazons. “We are looking forward to sharing the stage with such massively talented artists.”
