Little Mix have embraced the Latin pop trend on their new single, Reggaeton Lento (Sony), released today (18 August). The girl group’s collaboration with South American boyband CNCO has already hit No.1 on iTunes.
The Spanish language song is a remix of a CNCO’s original track, which has more than 1 billion YouTube views. CNCO’s version has been a hit in Spain and across Latin America.
Reggaeton Lento is the latest high-profile UK release for a Spanish language song, following the chart-topping reign of Despacito. Mi Gente by J Balvin and Willy William is currently making in-roads, moving 19-12 on the latest singles chart.
CNCO were formed on the South American TV talent show La Banda, which was devised by Simon Cowell and Ricky Martin.
