Songwriter and artist Keaton Henson has partnered with Faber Music on the release of The Tallowmere Annual, a mixed-media book featuring an MP3 pack and headphones.
The unique format is released today (April 23) and limited to 2,000 copies. It is priced £50.
Readers can plug in and listen to a 20-minute recorded score that accompanies reading the book and viewing the artwork. Batteries are included.
Henson said: “It is a collection of fragments, singing an elegy to the feeling of loss and something dreadful humming towards you. In spite of its physical audio element, it is a quiet book. Tallowmere is an unsettling place to be, but I have loved spending time there.”
