DJ Mag celebrated the best of the UK's homegrown talent at last night's Best Of British awards.
The winners were announced at a ceremony at EGG London and included Fabric, which collected two awards for Best Large Club, and Innovation & Excellence (with Craig Richards also winning Best Resident). The awards were presented by London’s first Night Czar, Amy Lamé.
Elsewhere, Carl Cox (pictured) was awarded Outstanding Contribution (presented by Norman Jay MBE), Annie Nightingale was voted Soldier Of The Scene, DJ EZ picked up Best DJ, The Warehouse Project was awarded Best Club Series, Dusky were chosen as Best Live Act, Lady Leshurr was voted 2016’s Best MC, while Best Live Stream went to Groove Armada.
Each year, DJ Mag’s editorial team choose the five nominees for each category before giving the UK’s clubbers and electronic music fans a chance to make their voices heard with a public vote.
The event featured performances from DJ EZ, Alan Fitzpatrick, Stanton Warriors, Joey Negro, PBR Streetgang, Solardo, Lauren Lo Sung, Denis Sulta, Lee Walker, Randall, Conduct, Fixate w/ Killa P, SCAR, Sir Spyro w/Killa P, and the DJ Mag Allstars.
