Artist service consultancy Arising Artist has appointed industry veteran Alan Pell as its new general manager.
The company, a division of online retail specialist The Tunetribe Entertainment Group, aims to offer expert advice and consultation services from a wide range of music industry professionals to up and coming artists.
An A&R specialist, Pell brings almost 30 years’ of experience to the role. He joins the company from from Distiller Music Group, where he served as managing director. Previously, he has occupied senior roles at BMG Chrysalis, Universal/Mercury, EMI Chrysalis, Stage Three Music and Bug Music.
Pell will report into Tunetribe and Arising Artist CEO William Haighton.
Commenting on his appointment, Pell said: “As artists and managers look to create bespoke campaigns and teams to take their music to market outside of the traditional music industry models Arising Artist is ideally placed to provide a range of alternative solutions. This role is an exciting new challenge for me and I am relishing the prospect of working with William Haighton and his team to create a truly artist-centric offering.”
Haighton added: “Alan Pell has an impeccable track record of working in major and independent companies across both records and music publishing. His reputation for talent acquisition and his experience as a well rounded executive able to oversee and manage a diverse range of projects will be a major asset to Arising Artist.”
