Rising star Winnie Raeder has signed a global publishing deal with Warner/Chappell Music.
The 23-year-old is currently working on her debut EP, which is set to be released later this year.
Mike Smith, managing director, Warner/Chappell Music UK, said: “I was completely blown away when I first heard Winnie’s demos. Her writing and her live performances keep getting better and stronger. I feel like we’ve jumped on a real talent very early on and I’m confident this is going to be a long and successful partnership.”
Tim Cronin and Paddy Dalton, co-managers at Frank Music Management, added: “We’ve all felt that on a very human level both Mike and Tom Coulson-Smith have understood Winnie and the music she creates. They and the rest of the Warner/Chappell team have championed her from the outset and we couldn’t be more thrilled to be at the beginning of this exciting journey with them.”
Raeder was raised in Aabenraa, a small town in Southern Denmark, where she developed a love of blues, soul and gospel. Warner/Chappell said the mix of genres has heavily influenced Raeder’s songwriting style.
As well as recording a set for online platform Mahogany Sessions, she’s recently played support slots for Alex Vargas, Nikhil and Banfi.
