Universal Music Publishing Group (UMPG) has today (March 1) announced an exclusive, worldwide publishing deal with Grammy-winning artist and producer Zedd. Recent years have seen Zedd produce some of the biggest names in pop, including the likes of Justin Bieber, Nicki Minaj and Lady Gaga. Break Free, his collaboration with Ariana Grande, has earned 345 million global Spotify streams to date.
Through the deal, UMPG will also represent two of Zedd’s frequent collaborators, Grey (brothers Michael and Kyle Trewartha) and Lophiile.
Speaking about the deal, Jody Gerson, Chairman and CEO, UMPG said: "We are thrilled Zedd and his team chose to move his catalogue to Universal Music Publishing. He is a gifted musician and we couldn’t be more excited to help expand his opportunities as a songwriter, producer and artist across the globe."
