Rihanna reunites with Jon Platt at Sony/ATV

Sony/ATV has signed a worldwide publishing deal for Rihanna’s entire catalogue and all future works.

In announcing the new agreement, chairman and CEO Jon Platt described the singer as “one of the biggest icons in the world”. The pair worked together at Warner Chappell.

“I’m proud to have known Rihanna since the beginning of her career,” Platt said. “Music, fashion, philanthropy and a heart of gold have solidified Rihanna’s position. It is an honor to be reunited with her at Sony/ATV.”

The news comes amidst speculation surrounding the possible release of new music from the singer, whose last album was Anti, which peaked at No.7 in 2016 and has 291,630 sales to date, according to the Official Charts Company.
