Manners McDade has announced details of a new sub-publishing deal with Velvetica Music Publishing.
From January 2019, Manners McDade Music Publishing will represent Velvetica’s catalogue in the UK. Velvetica has represented Manners McDade’s catalogue in France since 2016.
Manners McDade director Catherine Manners said: “We’re delighted to have been chosen by Velvetica as their new UK sub-publisher. With their catalogues of French film and TV production companies, as well as a vast song catalogue, it feels like a natural extension to our own catalogue.”
Velvetica founder Thomas Jamois added: “We couldn’t find any better partner in the UK given the similarity of our expertise and our musical tastes. We feel very lucky to have our repertoires in such good hands and to be able in counterpart to offer a home to Manners McDade’s writers in France.”

The Manners McDade group of companies provides composer management, music publishing, sync and creative services. The past 12 months has seen the release of albums by publishing clients Nils Frahm, Max Cooper, Poppy Ackroyd and John Metcalfe. Manners McDade launched Cognitive Shift Recordings in conjunction with One Little Indian Records in 2016.
Velvetica administers the repertoires of many French film and television production companies including the catalogues of Pathé and Gaumont. The company also represents artists such as Yuksek, Tahiti 80, Lomepal, Sage, Herman Dune, and Bachar Mar-Khalifé.
The Manners McDade sync team won Best Sync – Film Trailer at the Music Week Sync Awards earlier this for Snow Ghosts’ The Hunted in the trailer for Beast. New signing Jessica Jones recently worked on the music for Barbour's Christmas ad.
