Kobalt Music Copyrights UK has reported an increase of 36% for 2018 revenues, according to financial documents filed at Companies House.
For the year ended June 30, Kobalt Music Copyrights UK posted revenues of $98.8 million (£84.5m), up from $72.8m (£62.2m) a year earlier.
In 2017, revenues soared by 90%, but the company's rate of growth appears to be slowing.
Operating profit in 2018 fell to $18,245 (£15,597), compared to $91,898 (£78,565) a year earlier.
In the company’s strategic report, the company's directors - who include Kobalt Music founder Willard Ahdritz - stated that they expect “another year of strong growth across the group”.
Kobalt Music Group includes the expanding recorded music business AWAL, which has partnered with artists and labels such as Glassnote.
The directors of Kobalt Music Copyrights UK sounded a note of caution over the economy and the likely benefits for the publishing sector from recorded music growth.
“There are uncertain economic conditions at present and while the record industry has started to show a return to growth, it is not clear to what extent this growth will also impact the publishing side of the industry,” stated the report.
Kobalt is nominated in the Publisher Of The Year category at the Music Week Awards on May 9.
