Boutique London-based music publisher Inverted Music UK is to represent the complete catalogue of electronic music pioneer John Mills-Cockell.
The acquisition elevates the previous administrative arrangement to a comprehensive, enduring partnership, as the publisher commits to promoting and preserving Cockell’s musical legacy.
The veteran Canadian composer and multi-instrumentalist is known for his pioneering electronic and film music. Mills-Cockell's work spans a variety of genres and media, and his compositions have been an integral part of numerous film, television and theatrical projects.
In addition to his work in film, Mills-Cockell's influence extends into contemporary music. His work includes contributions to the bands Syrinx, Kensington Market and Intersystems.

His compositions have been sampled by several artists across genres such as Talib Kweli, Danny Brown and Bonobo, whose 2022 single Second Sun incorporates parts of December Angel by Syrinx.
