Universal Music Publishing Group (UMPG) has announced a new agreement with Brazilian executive and creator Konrad Dantas and his Kondzilla company.
First launched as a YouTube channel in 2012, Kondzilla is known for bringing Brazilian funk music into the mainstream.
The business comprises arms responsible for music video production, label and publishing, licensing and a lifestyle content website.
Marcelo Falcão, managing director of UMPG Brazil, said: “Konrad Dantas is a true force of nature. His passion and commitment to his dream were much bigger than the difficult circumstances he was born and raised in, and he has since created an Empire that shared Brazilian funk music throughout the world.”
