'A star in the making': UMPG signs Latin artist Mariah

UMPG has signed rising Latin singer-songwriter Mariah to an exclusive global publishing deal.

Mariah Angeliq is a 19-year old Miami-born, Puerto Rican-Cuban artist. In less than a year, her songs have surpassed 25 million streams. She has more than one million monthly listeners on Spotify.

Signed to Universal Music Latino, Mariah was discovered by UMPG reggaeton producer Nely “El Arma Secreta” (Josias De La Cruz) and is represented by GTS management.

Alexandra Lioutikoff, UMPG president of Latin America and US Latin, said: “Mariah is a star in the making whose talent, fierce creativity and determination will empower her to go the distance. With her playful, mixed-genre hits, she is breaking boundaries and bringing a welcome new sound to the Latin urban music scene. Mariah has a very bright future ahead and our UMPG family is thrilled to support her journey.”

Angeliq said: "I feel blessed to be part of the UMPG family. I believe that the team will do an excellent job in the development of my career.”
