Warner Music Group has made clear its intention to support Parlophone as a label alongside Atlantic and Warner Bros. with “significant investment” in frontline A&R to create a “stable, long-term ownership”.
The commitment comes in an internal memo from WMG CEO Steve Cooper to staff, handed to Music Week. It outlines the major label’s plan for Parlophone Label Group after it acquired the EMI divestment in February for £487 million cash.
