The site's international rollout has been repeatedly delayed and Qtrax was originally scheduled to launch in a number of Asian markets, including China, almost exactly a year ago.
In November 2009, Qtrax signed a partnership deal with Baidu, China's leading search engine, to direct music-related searches to its legal music platform.
In July this year, however, the company faced a $2m (?1.27m) lawsuit from software company Oracle amid allegations of copyright infringement and breach of contract.
