Under the country's new piracy laws - which are similar to the provisions laid out in the DEA - ISPs are now obligated to send out warning letters to people who are thought to be infringing copyright and to this end 42 letters have now been sent out.
Those who ignore the three warnings will then be passed on to a Copyright Tribunal where they could be fined up to NZ$15,000.
