Emeli Sande breaks Beatles' chart record
Emeli Sandé has surpassed The Beatles’ record for spending the most consecutive weeks in the UK’s Official Albums Chart Top 10 with a debut album.
Sande’s debut Our Version of Events, released on Virgin Records, has remained in the Top 10 for 63 weeks since its release - or at least it will when the Official Albums chart is announced later today.
That means Sandé overtakes The Beatles’ Please Please Me, which previously held the record for almost 50 years. ...
