The long-rumoured festival featuring six of the most influential rock acts in history on the same bill has been confirmed for Indio, California.
Promoted by AEG’s Goldenvoice division, Desert Trip will take place from October 7-9, kicking off with The Rolling Stones and Bob Dylan and His Band, followed on Saturday night, October 8 by Paul McCartney and Neil Young + Promise of the Real, with the weekend coming to a close on Sunday night, October 9 with Roger Waters and The Who.
Each artist will play a full set, with performances starting after sunset. Tickets go on sale Monday, May 9. Three-day passes are priced from $399 for general admission to $1,599 for standing pit tickets.
Located at the home of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, the weekend will feature an all-star lineup of world-renowned chefs and 40 of the best restaurants from Los Angeles to New York.
