Daniel Ek claims Spotify has 30m paid users
Spotify CEO Daniel Ek has revealed that the streaming service has 30 million subscribers - presumably all paying.
In a tweet referencing US President Barack Obama's visit to Cuba, Ek said: "We have 30 million @Spotify subscribers, but none of them are in Cuba ... yet."
Given that in June last year the official figure for Spotify users was more than 75m, with over 20m paying, Ek was presumably constricted by the 140-character limit to add that the 30m ...
