MTV has unveiled the first of its line-up of performers for the Video Music Awards in California on August 27.
The awards ceremony will feature Miley Cyrus, Ed Sheeran, Lorde, The Weeknd, Fifth Harmony, Thirty Seconds to Mars and Shawn Mendes alongside Katy Perry, who was unveiled last month as VMAs host and a performer.
Kendrick Lamar leads the VMAs pack with eight nominations, followed by The Weeknd and Perry, both on five. Perry's nominations include Best Collaboration alongside Calvin Harris for Feels, which is currently battling Despacito for the No. 1 spot.
