Homewood bound: Music Week hires new senior staff writer

Music Week has appointed Ben Homewood as its new senior staff writer.

An experienced music journalist, Homewood most recently served in a freelance capacity for the likes of The Guardian, Red Bull Music, BBC Music and BEAT. Prior to that he was reviews editor at NME and before that deputy editor at The Fly.

In his new role, he will play a central role in driving Music Week’s new music coverage.

“We are delighted to welcome Ben to the Music Week team,” said Music Week editor Mark Sutherland. “His passion for new music and his experience gained as reviews editor at NME will be a real asset for Music Week as we continue to improve our agenda-setting coverage of the most exciting new releases and up and coming artists.”

Away from journalism, Ben has worked with labels including Polydor and Bella Union and as part of independent promotion team BONE he puts on DIY and punk nights around south London.
