Little appears to be known about culture secretary Karen Bradley, least of all the extent of her connection to music and the arts. A quick glance at her social media updates, though, reveals a glaring similarity to a certain fictional broadcaster…
1 THE PAMPHLET LAUNCH
Our new culture secretary was invited to launch the new Leek Town Spires and Chimney Pot Trail pamphlet, which offers “a really interesting and well researched guide to architecture in Leek”.
2 A TRIP TO THE TITTESWORTH RESERVOIR
When not launching informative pamphlets, Bradley likes nothing more than a day out at the local reservoir, in this case, the famed Tittesworth site.
3 THE FOXLOWE COMMUNITY SHED
What was once “an unloved and unused” single car garage was turned into a ‘community shed’ this year. Bradley described the shed as a “great place to chat and work with friends, family and neighbours”.
4 LIFE IN THE FAST LANE
Another undoubted high point of 2016 was the Leek Scooterfest. Bradley hailed the event as “a colourful day out”.
5 BRADLEY GETS TROLLIED
Last but not least, Bradley hit the road for the Rotary Biddulph Trolley Trek – a 90-mile trek from Biddulph to Llandudno in Wales.
