Fairweather Festival has announced the final artists on its line-up, completing the 2017 bill.
The festival, which is set to take place in Los Altos Park in Sandown in the Isle of Wight this September 2, aims to raise awareness of mental health and the stigma surrounding it. It is partnered with mental health services and charities such as Mind, and works to spread the word about the support these organisations offer.
Previous X Factor contestant Lucy Spraggan is scheduled to play the main stage, as well as Jamie Lee Harrison from Britain’s Got Talent. Other acts performing on the main stage include Born Ina Barn, Sheer Pink and Cara Goodrem. Meanwhile, Reminders & Confed Fred, Shufflah and DJ Eddie C will play the Cabin in the Woods Stage.
These acts join the previously announced headliner Professor Green, plus Atomic Kitten, Foor and The Chuckle Brothers.
Promoter Callum Fairweather said: “I'm very excited to announce the last few artists for the Fairweather Festival. We are now complete! I've truly focused this whole line up on something for everyone to appeal to everyone in the family! Lucy Spraggan is awesome, I watched her at Isle of Wight Festival and loved it! Everyone in Sandown will love her! Her song writing is fantastic. Not many can tell a story as well as her! Jamie Lee Harrison has a fantastic voice and was great on BGT. I'm super proud to have the cream of the crop of Island artists on board as well!
This event is completely non-for-profit and I'm so passionate about raising as much awareness about mental health as possible. We have the perfect line up, now it's time to raise awareness! I'm actively searching for people who may have suffered from mental health issues in the past who may be willing to speak freely about their problems for the good of encouraging others to do so! Please get in touch!”
