Bauer Media launches new Kiss, Kerrang! and Heat online spin-off stations

Bauer Media have announced plans for seven new digital radio stations and launch a new Kiss Radio podcast.

The new channels are all spin-off from the firm's existing brands, with Kiss gaining Kiss Dnce, Kiss Garage and Kiss Ibiza.

Kerrang! Radio is joined by Klassic Kerrang! Radio and Kerrang! Radio Unleashed, while Heat Radio will have a School Disco and a Radio Soundtracks extensions.

All the new stations will be online properties, accessible via each brand's mobile app or website.

Additionally, Kiss will partner with The Prince’s Trust to launch a new monthly podcast series called Kiss Life: Let’s Talk About.

The podcast will "provide advice for young people that are affected by the issues covered" with exam stress and gangs among the topics set to be covered over the next five months. The first edition will be presented by Kiss' Tyler West and will investigate the impact of knife crime in the UK.

“Anticipating consumer behaviour informs our content and distribution strategy. It’s exactly what has underpinned the roaring success of Kisstory," explained Bauer Radio's group managing director Dee Ford.

"The new digital station launches and Kiss podcast provide even greater choice for our audiences who seek more from the brands they love. Creating an even deeper more tailored listening experience, they also provide exciting new opportunities for advertisers seeking highly engaged valuable audiences.”

The new stations' launches follows on from a string of new radio endeavours from Bauer. In March this year it launched a new classical station called Scala boasting Simon Mayo, Goldie and William Orbit among its presenters, quickly followed by Country Hits in April
