AIM have revealed full details of the line-up for the tenth annual Women In Music event which is set to take place at City Hall in London on January 17. The event is held in association with INgrooves and supported by the Mayor of London.
Barbara Charone (MBC PR), Abi Leland (Leland Music), Hannah V (producer/artist), Annette Barratt (Reservoir Media) and chair Amy Lamé (London Night Tzar) have been added to the agenda to deliver a panel entitled Female Entrepreneurship In Music.
They join the previously announced line-up, which includes a keynote address by solo artist and former Spice Girl Melanie C, who will speak candidly with Music Week editor Mark Sutherland about her career in music and current success as an independent artist.
There will also be a keynote address entitled ‘Diversity Is Good For You’ from UK Music Diversity Taskforce co-chair Paulette Long OBE (Westbury Music). Following the keynotes there will be a panel entitled Women In The Studio, which will see a selection of producers, engineers, mixers and songwriters discuss the rarity of women in studio roles and how they have built their careers.
Speakers include Steph Marziano (producer & engineer, Denai Moore, Mumford & Sons & others), Dr Mariana Lopez (lecturer in Sound production & post production, University of York), Isabel Gracefield Grundy (engineer, Emeli Sande, Tom Odell & others), Marta Salogni (mixer, Bjork, Sampha & others), Kate Tavini (mastering engineer & host of Red Bull’s #NormalNotNovelty engineering workshop), Katia Isakoff (founder, Women Produce Music) and panel chair K-Minor (producer, artist).
The event will be held from 5.30-10pm on January 17 at London’s Living Room, City Hall, The Queen’s Walk, London, SE1 2AA.
