SJM Concerts managing director Simon Moran and Oscar-nominated film producer Lene Bausager have teamed up to co-manage UK singer Rick Astley, following a chart-topping year under the sole management of Bausager.
In addition, Astley has signed a global representation with WME, which will see Marc Geiger representing him in the US and David Levy for the UK and rest of the world.
Bausager and Astley have also partnered to launch 50/50 Media House., an umbrella company for the pair’s creative projects. These include Ugly Duckling Films; the film, TV, and media production company.
Astley said: “Throughout this extraordinary last year I have benefited from Lene and Simon’s steadfast support and expertise in their respective fields. As we enter the next stage of this mad adventure, and look ahead to another exciting year, I’m thrilled that Simon is joining the management team where he will bring the full weight of his industry expertise and respect to bear. Lene and Simon will work alongside Marc and David as well as the team at BMG who were so instrumental in engineering the incredible success of 50”.
Released by BMG earlier this year, Astley’s 50 album achieved coveted Gold Certification status after becoming his first UK No.1 Album in almost 30 years with sales to date of 133,707.
