Prager Metis International have acquired the media and entertainment business of accountants Ling Phipp.
The international accounting and advisory firm concluded its acquisition of its UK counterpart's southern England and south Wales-centric activities on 31 August.
“We have been expanding our entertainment practice, and this deal provides a fantastic opportunity to continue that progression,” explained says Mark Boomla, managing partner of Prager Metis’ London office, who confirmed the arrangement will see Ling Phipp partner Paul Turner joining Prager Metis.
“Equally as important, it enables us the opportunity to work with Paul who brings a fantastic breadth and depth of expertise and skill, as well as a shared value of hands-on client service. It is a great fit.”
Turner added: “We are delighted for our media and entertainment business based in southern England and south Wales to be joining forces with Prager Metis. Prager Metis is a well-known and respected firm of chartered accountants and, although somewhat larger than us, they have a similar client base and ethos and have specialised and substantial technical resources.
"By combining with the London and US offices of Prager Metis, we can now provide additional depth and scale that will enhance the services we provide to our clients in the south.”
