Marshmello manager Moe Shalizi has launched his new management firm, The Shalizi Group.
Shalizi, one of Forbes' 30 Under 30 and awarded Billboard’s Dance 2018 Executive Of The Year, has announced he is leaving Red Light Management after four years to start his own full-service management firm, representing artists and producers including Marshmello, Southside of 808 Mafia and Ghastly.
Shalizi said: "My four years at Red Light were nothing short of amazing and I am forever grateful for all that I learned from some of the best managers in the business.” He added, “I just got to a place where I had a vision that required me to go on my own in order to make it happen.”
Marshmellow, whose most recent single Happier is currently fourth in the Billboard Hot 100 and with nearly 400 million Spotify streams, signed to Kobalt in June this year.
The agency will be based in Los Angeles with a staff of 12, constituting COO Krista Carnegie, as well as Adam Chaves, Katie Spotts and Mike Barajas.
