This week's Q&A is with Nikki Gordon, head booker at Ministry Of Sound and co-founder of We Are FSTVL.
What was your first job in music/music related events?
Official grown up job, Neighbourhood Club (Old Subterania Club) in West London – promotions manager.
How long have you been in your current role?
MoS four years in July, 18 years other bits.
What is your favourite thing about working in the live music industry?
Having the chance to be creative of many different levels every day.
What is the one thing you would like to change about the business?
Artist fees. It’s a topic everyone avoids, be refreshing for IMS or ADE to have a panel about the topic with agents and promoters.
What has been the highlight of your career so far?
Co-founding and creating We Are FSTVL, a 60,000-capacity, three-day festival in Upminster, Essex.
What's the best gig you’ve ever been to?
Stevie Wonder in Hyde Park 2016 was a cracker, it was amazing to hear him live. Legend.
