Radiohead have been confirmed to headline the opening night of Glastonbury Festival 2017.
The announcement comes in the wake of intense speculation among fans after it emerged via the BBC’s live webcam that the band’s ‘modified bear’ logo was being painted in front of the Pyramid Stage yesterday (October 19).
Radiohead will close the main stage on Friday June 23, the group last played the Worthy Farm festival in 2011, when they appeared as ‘special guests’ on The Park stage. The band’s ninth album, A Moon Shaped Pool, was released on XL in May and has sold 171,425 copies to date.
