Live Nation is renewing for the second year in a row its special Kickoff to Summer offer, giving concert goers the opportunity to buy access to selected shows for $20 per ticket.
The scheme is only open to ticket buyers in the US, with some shows in Canada offering the same promotional prices. The promotion sweeps starts Friday, May 13 and runs through May 20.
Tickets are available for nearly 1,000 summer amphitheater shows from 150 artists, including some of Live Nation-produced’s most prominent summer tours, from artists such as 5 Seconds to Summer, Black Sabbath, Bryan Adams, Dolly Parton, Garbage, Jeff Beck, M83, Peter Frampton, The Cure, and ZZ Top, among others.
Live Nation reps explain that the value of the offer and the variety of the artists involved makes the offer particularly compelling. Live Nation first offered this promotion in 2015, which was instrumental in pushing tickets to a record sales volume of 14.4M tickets in amphitheaters. In a statement, Live Nation said that amphitheater sales for 2016 were "off to a strong start, with sales to date already outpacing sales from this time last year.”
The vast majority of the $20 Promotional tickets are offered for the "Lawn inventory" in amphitheaters. The maximum number of $20 tickets per concert is about 1,000.
