Kilimanjaro and DEAG partner with Twickets

Leading UK promoter Kilimanjaro Live has announced a partnership with face value ticket resale platform Twickets.

The deal will allow customers to access tickets for sold out shows at face value from other fans who are no longer able to attend via Myticket.co.uk, the online ticket hub for all events by Kilimanjaro and its Germany-based partner DEAG, which will automatically link fans to Twickets when shows are sold out and will be endorsing fan-to-fan trade at face value for all shows.

Twickets is the official resale service for artists including Adele, Mumford & Sons, One Direction and Massive Attack as well as some of the UK’s leading festivals and venues. The platform is seeking to expand its key partnerships with other artists, events, venues and music retailers.

“This is a hugely positive move for Kilimanjaro and MyTicket.co.uk and demonstrates our firm commitment to ensuring price transparency of tickets and ultimately as fair a deal as possible for fans," said Stuart Galbraith (pictured), founder and CEO of Kilimanjaro Live, which promotes acts such as Red Hot Chili Peppers, Ed Sheeran, The 1975 and Catfish And The Bottlemen.

Richard Davies, founder of Twickets, added, "Kilimanjaro Live and DEAG share our commitment to creating a fairer environment for fans, so its great to partner with MyTicket.co.uk to enable gig-goers to resell tickets at face-value."

Twickets recently launched a round of crowdfunding (via www.seedrs.com/twickets) in a bid to raise £700,000 towards its international expansion. Various high profile music executives have already backed the campaign including Marcus Russell and Alec McKinlay (Ignition Management - Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds, Catfish And The Bottlemen), Ian McAndrew (Wildlife Entertainment - Royal Blood, Arctic Monkeys) and Tony Wadsworth CBE (former chairman of EMI).

Davies is the subject of the Big Interview in Monday's (December 12) edition of Music Week.
