Kendal Calling organisers have billed six acts as headliners for its 2017 edition.
Set for Lowther Deer Park in The Lake District from July 27-30, the line-up is headed by Stereophonics, Manic Street Preachers, Brian Wilson (performing Pet Sounds), Frank Turner & The Sleeping Souls, Tinie Tempah and Franz Ferdinand.
“Drastic times cause for drastic measures and to that end we’ve gone the whole nine yards," said the 23,000-capacity festival's founder Andy Smith. "We're excited to be welcoming no less than six headliners to the fields this year, including Brian Wilson’s last appearance on these shores as he performs Pet Sounds in full."
Other acts on the bill include Jake Bugg, Frightened Rabbit, Seasick Steve, Editors, Slaves, Circa Waves, Nothing But Thieves, Lethal Bizzle, Kate Nash, The Coral, The Hunna, Example, Loyle Carner and DJ sets from Faithless, Jungle and Mike Skinner.
Around 60% of tickets were sold before a single act was announced. Remaining tickets go on sale on January 27.
