IMS Ibiza unveils new raft of speakers for 2018 event

International Music Summit (IMS) Ibiza has announced a raft of new speakers for its 2018 edition. 

Organisers of the annual three-day dance music conference have confirmed Todd Terry, B.Traits, BLOND:ISH and Honey Dijon will join industry leaders from Broadwick Live, Elrow, Deezer, Native Instruments, Workplace by Facebook and Secret Garden Party at the event, which runs from May 23-25.

Key panels promise to include Sexual Harassment In DJ Culture, an open conversation about the realities of this issue in the industry and what can be done to tackle it. Is Drug Testing The Solution? will see not-for-profit organisation The Loop examine the benefits of harm reduction services at music events and present recent findings of confidential drug testing at UK festivals and the impact of the service. Joining the discussion will be Secret Garden Party's Freddie Fellowes, Jon Drape of Broadwick Live and artist B.Traits (Artist, Canada).

The How Workplace By Facebook Transforms Communication session, meanwhile, will provide a case study into contemporary workflow management from the viewpoints of Elrow president Vicenc Marti and Workplace By Facebook director Julien Lesaicherre. House music legend Todd "The God" Terry will also give a Keynote Interview about his life and career in dance music.

IMS co-founder Pete Tong said: “Tackling the issues and topics that matter the most to our industry is of vital importance to IMS and with our newly announced speakers we bring further expertise and experience to the summit.

"Of equal importance to us is education and we are delighted to offer our delegates the opportunity to learn and broaden their knowledge with workshops led by our partners Berklee College of Music, Point Blank Music School and Toolroom Academy.”
