BBC Radio 2’s Jeff Smith has told Music Week that the station’s Hyde Park event is a key fixture for acts launching an album in Q4.
The 50,000-capacity BBC Radio 2 Live In Hyde Park returns on September 15 with a line-up including Clean Bandit, Emeli Sandé, Kelsea Ballerini, Simply Red, Status Quo and Pet Shop Boys.
“They make it part of their plans for the final quarter – it’s a great way of setting up a campaign,” said Smith.
