Xtra Mile Recordings has partnered with The Orchard on a worldwide distribution and label services deal.
The agreement, which covers both physical and digital releases, will enable the London-based independent label to further grow its artists globally by tapping into The Orchard’s reach across all territories.

“It’s a challenge to do any kind of deal in these unprecedented times, but it’s testament to the UK team and the global HQ in NYC that we got it done," said Xtra Mile Recordings owner Charlie Caplowe (pictured). "We are massively excited about the new global set-up and can’t wait to get cracking with our upcoming releases later this year and into 2021.”
Xtra Mile is home to emerging artists such as Brand New Friend, Guise, Deux Furieuses, Sean McGowan as well as more established acts Frank Turner, Skinny Lister, Johnny Lloyd, Against Me!, Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly and Mull Historical Society.
In 2019, the company celebrated its 16th anniversary with a year of events, special releases and festival takeovers, including a show at Omeara as part of War Child’s BRITs Week events, and stage takeovers at 2000 Trees Festival and Frank Turner’s Lost Evenings Festival in Boston.
Upcoming releases on the label later this year include a rarities compilation from Frank Turner, Guise, Skinny Lister, Brand New Friend and Johnny Lloyd.
