Warner Bros. UK president Phil Christie has tipped multi-platinum Swedish star Miriam Bryant for global success.
Bryant dropped her latest single Rocket on Friday, her first release as part of a joint venture between Warner Bros. Records UK and Warner Music Sweden. She already had five multi-platinum singles in her local market and her tracks have landed hundreds of millions of streams.
The two Warner labels have now come together to develop Bryant's global career.
“Miriam's a proven pop star in the Nordics and has the songs, voice and personality to cross over on a global basis," said Christie (pictured). "We're excited to be introducing her to the rest of the world.”
Magnus Ribbeklint, general manager, Warner Music Sweden, said: “Miriam is one of the most in demand Swedish artists around at the moment. Phil and his WB team are leaders in in the business at breaking and developing artists, I can’t wait to see them work their magic with this record while we lead the charge in Sweden.”
Bryant released her first single Finders, Keepers in 2012. The following year, DJ and producer Zedd remixed her song Push Play for the deluxe version of his album Clarity - the song went to No.1 in the US Dance Chart.
