Today (March 26) Warner Music UK has announced that Nina Bhagwat has joined the company as head of inclusion & diversity.
In her newly created role at Warner Music UK, Bhagwat will be responsible for developing the group’s inclusion and diversity strategy as well as overseeing policies and initiatives that will help drive attraction, progression, and engagement of talent from under-represented groups.
Bhagwat joins from Channel 4 where she was most recently off-screen diversity executive, and delivered key diversity charter initiatives including the Year Of Disability, Spotlight On Directors and the C4 BAME Action Plan.
Commenting on her new role, Nina Bhagwat said: “It’s exciting and noteworthy that a company with the impact, influence and relevance of Warner Music is placing the inclusion & diversity agenda front and centre of who they are as a company. An official press release stated that Bhagwat will report directly to Masha Osherova, EVP and chief human resources officer, WMG, and Mel Fox, chief transformation officer WMUK, EVP of transformation for recorded music.
