The time has come for the big reveal. Today, we are delighted to announce the Music Week Women In Music Awards Roll Of Honour 2019.
With the sold-out sixth edition of the Women In Music Awards, in association with AIM and UK Music, taking place on Friday (November 8) at The Brewery in London, we are now able to reveal the 12 names set to take their place on the Roll Of Honour.
BBC Radio 1’s Alice Levine returns as host and the room will be packed to the rafters once again as we celebrate the achievements of a stellar group of executives.
The Roll Of Honour inductees are drawn from across the breadth of the industry, from publishing, PR and radio, to labels, legal and live.
The 12 new names join a group of 72 star execs from around the music business. Last year, a group including Warner Records’s Jane Arthy, Glassnote’s Liz Goodwin, The Midi Music Company’s Wozzy Brewster and CTRL Music founder Nadia Khan joined the list. Relive 2018’s ceremony, which starred Skunk Anansie’s Skin, Jin Jin and more here.
The Roll of Honour aims to highlight the breadth, depth and variety of individuals who are ‘game changers’ in the music industry, with one common theme; they are either female, or their activities consistently benefit women, or focus on female empowerment/gender disparity.
The executives joining the Roll Of Honour this year are:
Kate Alderton, UK finance director, Warner Chappell Music
Lorna Clarke, controller, BBC Pop
Polly Comber, creator/director, Black Fox Management Ltd
Gee Davy, head of legal and business affairs, AIM
Remi Harris MBE, creative business trainer and consultant, Remi Harris Consulting
