Italian rock label Frontiers has signed an international distribution deal with Sony Red and The Orchard.
The extensive deal covers physical distribution for North America, Australia and New Zealand as well as global digital distribution.
Frontiers is known for releasing music from classic hard rock acts such as Journey, Survivor and Jeff Lynne and ELO. Upcoming releases for the Napoli-based label include new music by Michael Bolton, Asia and Stephen Pearcy the ex-lead singer of Ratt.
The deal will also see New York-based distribution company The Orchard continue to provide digital distribution for the Italian label around the world.
Orchard and Frontiers have worked side by side to market and release albums by Boston, Whitesnake and Rick Springfield. The successful relationship between the two companies has lasted for ten years.
“The Orchard has been Frontiers’ strategic digital partner for several years,” said Frontiers Music president Serafino Perugino. “Their support, dedication and belief has been truly amazing. They have been the foundation for the success of the label on the international markets,”
“It’s gratifying to see Frontiers evolve into the powerhouse label they are today,” added The Orchard CEO Brad Navin. “They are passionate about connecting fans around the world with music they love. This new chapter will take our partnership to the next level. It’s going to be fun.”
Sony Red president Bob Morelli also commented: “Frontiers have built a connoisseurs rock and metal label that will be a perfect addition to Red’s family of labels.”
