The deadline for entries to the biggest and best ever edition of the Music Week Awards has been extended due to unprecedented demand.
Entrants now have until Monday, January 21 to complete submissions for the Music Week Awards 2019. The music industry’s biggest night out of the year takes place in brand new venue Battersea Evolution on Thursday, May 9.
Once again, the big night will gather the great and the good of the music industry to celebrate and reward outstanding achievements from across the business, from A&R and live, to marketing, press, management, retail and beyond.
Last year’s ceremony attracted a host of the biggest execs and artists in the biz, from Dua Lipa and BBC Radio 1/1Xtra/Asian Network controller Ben Cooper to Annie Mac, Glastonbury's Emily Eavis and UTA's super-agent Neil Warnock.
Highlights on the night ran the gamut from Warner Music Group CEO, recorded music Max Lousada collecting The Strat – the special award that recognises an industry icon and pioneer – to Ed Sheeran’s manager Stuart Camp, of Grumpy Old Management, being named Manager Of The Year. Elsewhere, Atlantic, Polydor, Sony/ATV, Spotify and Glastonbury were among the big winners.
