House Anxiety has launched a new joint venture partnership deal with Believe Music.
The London-based label is known for introducing artists including Courtney Barnett and King Krule. It previously had a strategic partnership with Marathon Artists.
The tastemaker label has unveiled a new roster that includes Bradford’s Bad Boy Chiller Crew, who have already amassed over 200 million streams online and secured a Spotify Viral Chart No. 1 with 450. They recently starred in their own fly-on-the-wall documentary for Vice.
BBCC’s debut mixtape Full Wack No Breaks is released via House Anxiety on Friday (September 25).
Also on the new-look House Anxiety roster is Ghanaian-born, Australian-based artist Genesis Owusu (in partnership with Australian label Ourness). BBCC and Genesis are joined by Californian bedroom-pop artist Carpetgarden and London-based choir Woom.

House Anxiety was originally founded as an independent venture in 2008 and had early breakthrough success with King Krule. Following a partnership deal with Marathon Artists in 2012, House Anxiety signed Courtney Barnett, landing both Grammy and BRIT Awards nominations in 2015. Other House Anxiety signings include Hazel English, Vagabon, Jamie Isaac and Keyah/BLU.
Hodgson left his position as director of A&R at Marathon Music Group in March this year. During his spell at the indie, he also signed the likes of Afro B, CocoRosie and Psychedelic Porn Crumpets. He also co-founded Marathon’s Moves Recordings label with Ian Mcquaid, with a roster including Nigerian Afrobeats star Naira Marley and Skengdo X AM.
In March, Hodgson announced he was leaving to form a new artist management company called Found, representing artists including London rapper Deema, former Klaxons frontman James Righton and Scottish indie band, Honeyblood, as well as instigating a new era for his House Anxiety label.
