Arista Records have made a trio of key appointments as CEO David Massey continues to reorganise the re-launched label.
Brian Vinikoor, who previously worked at management services company mtheory has been named vice president of marketing, while Ethan Geltzer joins from KNCTRNL Artist MGMT to be the new senior director of digital marketing and branding.
Former Spotify senior editor and playlists curator Dieuwertje “Dee” Heuvelings joins from the streaming service’s Amsterdam office to become senior director of A&R and marketing.
“I am delighted to welcome Brian, Dee and Ethan to the team. We are building Arista as a new model major label, and they each are forward-thinking industry professionals with experience outside of the recorded music business who bring a tremendous amount of creativity and expertise to the company,” said Massey of his new employees.
“I look forward to working with them to develop progressive and innovative approaches to marketing, branding and discovery that will help our artists advance their careers and connect with audiences on a global scale.”
Massey, a former president of Island Records, was recruited by Sony to relaunch the classic Arista label earlier this year.
His joint venture with the major label also saw him launch a new publishing and artist management company, Work of Art, in the summer.
