BMG UK boss Alistair Norbury has told Music Week that he’s taking on the majors, after 2019 sales figures revealed that the company out-performed the market last year.
According to Official Charts Company data, BMG’s All Albums AES figure of 2.87 million was up 13% year-on-year, a result ahead of the overall market increase of 5%.
For artist albums, BMG’s AES total of 2.51m was up 17% compared to a market increase of 9%.
