ADA, Warner Music Group’s independent distribution and services arm, has promoted Brandon Squar to the position of executive vice president of Digital Sales and Strategy, Worldwide.
In his new role, Squar will report to David Orleans, ADA’s president of sales and label management.
He will be tasked with leading both national and global digital consumer marketing campaigns, spearheading promotional and commercial opportunities for ADA’s label partners.
Squar will also develop strategies to better serve its roster of independent label partners, including digital reporting, sales and account management.
With streaming becoming an increasingly influential source of discovery for artists and labels, Squar will also prioritise ADA’s playlist strategy, which includes the Indie Mixtape brand, and continue to bolster relationships with global digital service providers.
“ADA’s commitment to delivering an unparalleled suite of core services to our indie label partners includes constantly striving to be on the leading edge of technology, and finding new ways of generating commerce opportunities,” said Orleans. “With over two decades of experience, Brandon brings enthusiasm and expertise to developing ADA’s digital strategies. He is a true music fan who understands how to harness new technology to best serve our independent labels and artists.”
Squar joined Warner Music Group in 2007, before joining ADA in 2010.
