Vevo have appointed Laurie Zeleny as their new senior vice president of people.
Charged with managing the company's people strategy and developing its talent, Zeleny takes up her New York-based role having previously worked in media, consumer goods, hospitality and tech start-ups, including roles at Conde Nast and Cadbury.
“Vevo plays such an integral role in the consumption and monetisation of music videos globally, ensuring that we secure and develop the right talent across our company will be key to keeping us on this path,” she explained of her priorities in her new role.
Welcoming the new appointment, Vevo CEO Alan Price explained that Zeleny's varied experience had been key to her recruitment.
“Laurie’s skillset and experience across media and technology sectors was exactly what we were looking for,” he said.
“Our people are the key to the success of our business and I look forward to Laurie joining the team to help us continue on our mission of growing the commercial and promotional value of music videos.”
Zeleny's appointment follows Vevo's promotions of JP Evangelista to senior vice president of content, programming and marketing and Kevin McGurn to president of sales and distribution in January this year.
