Facebook’s new director of EMEA partnerships, Patrick Walker, has told Music Week that the platform’s live streaming function, Facebook Live, brings a “new dimension” to the music industry.
Speaking about what Live can do for artists and labels, he said that it offers an “access-all-areas-pass to millions of fans”. Walker joined Facebook in May from his position as non-executive director at Rightster.
“Facebook Live brings the ability for artists and labels to create previously unseen moments for fans,” he said.
