Deezer has introduced functionality to enable users to share a song or podcast to Snapchat. 

Fellow Deezer account holders will be able to swipe up on a Snapchat Story to play the song directly in the app. Non-Deezer users will be redirected to a mobile download for Deezer.

Deezer is also planning to enable users to share lyrics with Snapchat friends. The DSP recently made lyrics shareable via Instagram Stories.

“The music and shows you enjoy help shape who you are,” said Stefan Tweraser, Deezer’s chief product and growth officer. “Thanks to our Snapchat integration, there’s finally no need to swap between apps when you find something your friends really need to hear.”

Gregoire Gimaret, international product marketing manager, Snapchat, said: "Snapchat is all about real friends. There's nothing more natural than to share your favorite music with your close friends. This collaboration between Snapchat and Deezer will allow our users to get closer not only through chat, image and video, but now also through music." 

Snapchat is rolling out on Deezer for Android and iOS 13 devices.
